Measure the chest at its widest point behind the front legs. Boondog advises leaving room for three to four fingers between the harness and the dog. Depending on how you measure and how your dog is built there can be about 2 cm of difference. The ML size is meant for larger breeds with narrow shoulders, such as the border collie, husky or standard poodle.

A Y-shaped harness: the chest strap runs between the front legs rather than across them. The shoulders stay free and nothing gets in the way of the gait.

Hexacurve. The hexagonal curve at the chest is aluminium — light and still rigid. It follows the shape of the shoulder and the angle of the neck, so the harness adapts to your dog rather than the other way round. That works as well on broad shoulders as on narrow ones.

Neoprene and Aerosilver underneath. Where the harness lies against the skin there is a thick neoprene cushion, covered in Aerosilver: a breathable material with an antibacterial finish. Made for harnesses that stay on for hours at a time.

There is a handle on the back, for the moments you want your dog close in one movement.

Adjusts at neck and chest, with a D-ring on the back. Measure the chest at its widest point behind the front legs and compare with the size chart.

AntiShock™ webbing. The central section running from neck to chest is Boondog’s AntiShock band. When your dog pulls from behind, only the rear of the harness takes that force; the chest and neck feel none of it.

Hexacurve™. The hexagonal part at the chest is aluminium — light but solid — and follows the angle of shoulder and neck, from puppy to older dog.

The back handle also takes a light, a tick clip or the ID tag, so you do not have to hang those on the lead ring.
