Measure the chest at its widest point behind the front legs. Boondog advises leaving room for three to four fingers between the harness and the dog. Depending on how you measure and how your dog is built there can be about 2 cm of difference. The ML size is meant for larger breeds with narrow shoulders, such as the border collie, husky or standard poodle.

Does your dog pull constantly? The Boondog Martingale Harness is built to discourage pulling without hurting or choking him.

The no-pull construction at the front closes slightly when your dog pulls, applying controlled pressure across the chest. That discourages pulling more effectively than a standard harness: the pressure spreads over the chest rather than the neck or windpipe. The moment he stops pulling, the harness sits comfortably loose again.

The part that tightens is webbing, not steel. Boondog uses its own soft webbing there, so the closing gives as little stimulus as possible.

Like the 0109 it goes on in seconds: front loop over the head, close the buckle, done. Five sizes including the ML for breeds with narrow shoulders. The adjustable chest strap prevents rubbing in the armpits. The back handle gives grip when something unexpected happens.

Sewn with German SERAFIL thread from AMANN, with a bar tack at the points under the most load. The webbing is woven with twice the usual amount of yarn.

Checking the fit: three to four fingers should still fit between the harness and your dog.

Acetal buckle made by WOOJIN. In a tensile test at the Korea Apparel Testing Institute the webbing held 5,212 newtons, about 510 kilos, and it is tested against the EU list of 223 substances of very high concern.

Care: hand wash in lukewarm water (max 30 °C) with a mild detergent. Air dry. No tumble dryer. Do not bleach.
