Measure around the widest part of the neck and leave room for two fingers - add about 2 cm to what you measure. Pick a size wider than the neck but narrower than the head, so the collar cannot slip over it.

The click buckle makes putting it on and taking it off the work of a moment, even with an impatient dog. The 25mm soft webbing does not chafe and feels comfortable against the skin. The adjustable band means it fits properly whatever the breed.
A separate loop for the ID tag. The tag does not hang on the same ring as the lead, so it does not rattle against it or get in the way when you clip on.
Bartack finishing. At the points that take the most force there is a dense bar tack rather than an ordinary seam. Sewn with SERAFIL thread from Germany's AMANN, the same thread used in German car interiors: it does not deform with changes in temperature and stands up to abrasion.

The buckle is acetal, made by WOOJIN, the world’s largest maker of plastic buckles. Acetal is the plastic closest to metal in strength, and the curved shape keeps pressure off the neck. In a tensile test at the Korea Apparel Testing Institute the webbing held 5,212 newtons, about 510 kilos.
